As always we continue to appreciate your prayers for the ongoing ministry amongst the boys and girls. These past few weeks have brought numerous challenges and situations we have needed much wisdom in. Please pray that we will continue to know the Lord's help and leading.
We thank God for centres who have returned lessons for marking to our Nairobi office and ask you to pray for Eunice and Pastor Aringo has they mark and return. Pray on for centres recently enrolled. We thank God for how the lessons are helping the children who are studying. One Pastor has updated us a few times on how he himself is learning much from doing the lessons with the children. We many centres enrolled in Kenya and Uganda and we ask prayer that the children will be saved. Joyce continues to value prayer as she heads up the work in Uganda and also takes care of some centres in Western Kenya. She continues to be thankful for the small office in Malaba and is encouraged to receive and distribute lessons from there. There a few who help her with marking in particular for lessons coming from Jinja and Kampala. She hopes to make a journey to Nakuru in the next few weeks to help with some issues concerning the work there. It was Joyce who initially got the work going in Nakuru so it is great that she still has a burden for that area. We thank God for those in Nakuru who have been marking lessons and teaching in Schools and we continue to pray for them. Also in many other areas we have markers, distributors etc. and we appreciate all of their efforts. We would ask you to continue to pray regarding Bibles. We now have some funds for this need which is an answer to prayer but none of our regular suppliers have Bibles in stock so we are just praying as to the way ahead. We are currently updating our child protection policy and personnel details. These means communicating with around 20 people across Kenya and Uganda who are directly involved with children on our behalf so that they can sign our updated policy and provide us with updated information. This doesn't seem that hard on the surface but there is quite a lot of work involved in the policy and communicating across the world from UK to two different African countries and receiving back all of the information isn't always straightforward. Pray we will know help in this. Here at home William and I have a busy time ahead from now until the end of March. William is continuing to study and has a four weeks and one assignment left until the end of his second year at Bible College. We have quite a number of meetings to speak at on behalf of FML.... this includes an old people's fold and the Sunday evening service of a missionary weekend. Two other meetings are in Churches we have never spoken in before....both Presbyterian Churches. We will also have a stand at an event at the end of March. This will be the first year we have been able to attend and are looking forward to this opportunity. We need to have more prayer cards and new literature printed for this event also. This will take time to put together a new leaflet. We also want to get our prayer letter issued. We had decided to delay it until the New Year and then we have held off further because we were waiting on some definite information which we wanted to include, however we have decided we can't really wait any longer and intend going ahead. So this will take more time. Also here in Northern Ireland we are in discussions regarding a children's event which we are hoping to hold. We had initially been planning for around Easter time, but depending on venue availability this may run on towards the end of April. We are excited about this prospect and will share more with you once things are finalised. In addition to all of this, we are hoping to attend, as much as possible, a Gospel Mission which is being held in conjunction with our home Church. But we are also looking forward to a wee day away and hope it will be a relaxing break for us even though it's only 24 hours! So a busy number of weeks ahead for the whole team not just here in UK but in Kenya and Uganda also. Please pray that we will know God's help and leading in every situation and aspect of the work we find ourselves in.
