If you are living in the Nairobi area of Kenya you may wish to visit our office and see how we can help you in your ministry with boys and girls. You can find out more about our Bible Lessons and how the children in your Church or School can complete the programme and each receive their own Bible and Certificate upon completion. Perhaps as a teacher of children you need some encouragement and help....our lending library has a good range of devotional and instruction books for teachers and excellent visual aids which can be used with children.
Of course, you may feel that you need some training in Child Evangelism. Well, there is no need to wait for our next on the ground training...we offer online training!! Our office in Nairobi is conveniently located on Ngong Road with a stage right outside the door! Email us for more information.... contact@feedmylambs.org.uk

Our blog today begins with the words of a hymn which is quite well known here in Northern Ireland.... Life at best is very brief. We have again been reminded of this over recent days. A lady who previously worked in our office in Nairobi has lost her little baby girl of just over 4 months old. It was sudden. No illness. No warning. Now we have parents left devastated and with empty arms. Life at best is very brief. Joyce; Feed my Lambs worker in Africa; teaches in a School in Kenya. A 9 year old student from the School died last month when he tried to swim across a river with some older boys. He thought he was having some fun. He didn't see the dangers. Gone, in an instant. Life at best is very brief. We are reminded of the urgency of sharing the Gospel...even with the young. Time goes so quickly. As a young girl of 14, I (Pamela) lost my mother. She was 47 when she died. I knew it wasn't old, but it seemed a long way off. My two brothers are now older than she was when she died. 47 doesn't seem so very far away anymore. Life at best is very brief. My father; well he lived until he was 73... but two weeks....just two weeks from when he was diagnosed with cancer until he passed into the presence of his Lord. 73 years...they went by in a flash. Life at best is very brief. If you are saved...live for the Lord and endeavour to share the Good News of the Gospel as God allows you. But perhaps you have not trusted Him yet....Life at best is very brief....don't leave it until it is too late to put your faith in the Saviour. Eternity will not be brief, it will last forever....make sure you spend it in the right place because there will be no turning back. 1 Life at best is very brief,
Like the falling of a leaf, Like the binding of a sheaf, Be in time! Fleeting days are telling fast That the die will soon be cast, And the fatal line be passed, Be in time! Be in time! Be in time! While the voice of Jesus calls you, Be in time! If in sin you longer wait, You may find no open gate, And your cry be just too late: Be in time! 2 Fairest flowers soon decay, Youth and beauty pass away; O you have not long to stay, Be in time! While God’s Spirit bids you come, Sinner, do not longer roam, Lest you seal your hopeless doom, Be in time! 3 Time is gliding swiftly by, Death and judgment draweth nigh, To the arms of Jesus fly, Be in time! O I pray you count the cost! Ere the fatal line be crossed, And your soul in hell be lost, Be in time! 4 Sinner, heed the warning voice, Make the Lord your final choice, Then all heaven will rejoice, Be in time! Come from darkness into light; Come, let Jesus make you right; Come, receive His life tonight, Be in time! Our blog posts aren't appearing just as regularly as late, simply due to many other commitments within the ministry. We are so thankful for how the Lord has expanded the work of Feed my Lambs and we give Him all of the glory.
We thank God that we are the process of securing our third office in Africa and we are grateful for those who give of their time to oversee the work in those areas and who share the Gospel with children. William and I are coming to the end of another busy season of meetings in Northern Ireland and have been really encouraged by the interest shown by those we shared with. We especially appreciated many new openings. Our 5th live video training session takes place tomorrow, please continue to pray for those who are participating. We also wish to convey our sympathies to the families of those who died in the Ethiopian Airlines plane which crashed while travelling from Ethiopia to Nairobi on Sunday 10 March. Please pray much for these families in the coming days. We continue to value your prayers. We held an encouraging seminar on Facebook last week. Not everyone in the group joined us live or watched the video later, but those who did have given us some very positive feedback and we are now preparing to minister further according to the needs which they have expressed.
We thank God for the opportunity to share about the work of Feed my Lambs at another meeting on Sunday. We are also encouraged by the many bookings we have for 2019. William will be giving a Children's talk this weekend coming and we are also involved in some Christmas events/meetings over the next week or two. We thank God for those who are faithfully ministering in Africa for Feed my Lambs. They are very busy at this time as they seek to bring things to a close for this year. Please continue to pray that the entire team in UK and Africa will know much of God's help and blessing in the coming days. We remain thankful for the opportunities we have to serve. On Wednesday 5th December at 11am UK time / 2pm Kenya and Uganda time; we will be holding a live seminar on Facebook.
In the past we have held Information Seminars in Churches with the purpose of explaining about our various ministries and how we can partner with local people to bring the Gospel to boys and girls. We share about our materials, our training and what is available. Now we are taking this same seminar live to Facebook so that more people can find out about the ministry. This seminar is primarily for those in Kenya and Uganda who have a desire to see children won for the Lord. The seminar will only last a short time and there will be opportunities for participants to ask questions. It should be possible to view the video later if you aren't able to join us live. We have a page on Facebook www.facebook.com/feedmylambs.org.uk/ which we hope you will "like". However, to join in with the seminar, please follow the link below to view the group... Feed my Lambs Children's Ministry - Information Seminar... and then click on the blue "join group" button and we will approve you. Places are limited and priority will be given to those in Kenya and Uganda..but if you are interested please request to join. The link to the group is www.facebook.com/groups/1210463712436994/ We look forward to having you join us. Hello again!
9 months of silence here on the blog...it wasn't planned and we are sorry if you missed us. Perhaps you think nothing was happening...in fact, it has been quite the opposite and time has just ran away from us. A short time after our last post, William tore ligaments in his foot which left him off work completely for 9 weeks and then eased in gently after that. It landed us in a completely different routine for a while. However, meetings continued and we have been so excited to be able to share in so many different venues across the country; with both adults and children; sharing about the ministry of Feed my Lambs. August was busy with a Holiday Bible Club, 5 Day Clubs in 3 different areas and a missionary convention. Some new materials have been developed; online tuition has continued and some changes and indeed expansion within the ministry will be happening over the next few months as we take on another full time worker! On top of all of that it was exciting to make two trips to Africa this year. The first was challenging (not least because William needed a wheelchair to get through the airport) as difficult decisions had to be made; but God guided, revealed some previously unknowns to us and gave us peace. The second trip was very encouraging and we saw things move on as they should. Feed my Lambs is very much active and children are hearing the Gospel...keep praying for their salvation. Thank you for praying throughout another week. We have been encouraged to hear of new children enrolled and more people enquiring about our materials. We thank God for children beginning Lesson 1 and we praise Him for those who are farther along.
Here in Northern Ireland we have a number of meetings over the next few weeks and appreciate your prayers as we prepare and share. Child Protection assignments continue to be submitted and we are enjoying marking them. We are also beginning to put together our next prayer letter and are praying for guidance as to what to include...there are quite a few exciting things to share this time round. William continues to have many opportunities to share about the ministry from day to day and we are thankful for this. Pray for him as he prepares a message for our next prayer meeting and also a children's talk for our own Church in addition to FML meetings. If you are able to help in securing us a meeting to share at, we would be very grateful. Remember we can also share with children here in Northern Ireland and welcome such opportunities. Remember also other ways you can help, we can take new and used adult and children's clothes...please contact us for more details. Of course we also appreciate your financial giving and this can be increased by Gift Aid if you are a UK tax payer. Most of all, we appreciate your prayers and interest. God is working and children are hearing the Gospel and we thank God for that. Today I looked back on a post from a number of years ago and read how we were challenged at that time to "enlarge the place of thy tent". Pray that we will always have a desire to move forward and see children won for the Kingdom of God. Thank you for your ongoing prayers in these days. This morning I have been reading in Matthew 21 the account of when Jesus sent two of his disciples to go into the village and bring an ass and a colt to Him. In verse 3 Jesus says, "And if any man say aught unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them."
The latter part of the verse caught my attention.... "The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them." Today the Lord has need of you. Across the world there are many people who are still in sin and who need to hear the message of the cross and of forgiveness of sin. If you are saved, then God has a plan and a purpose for your life and He wants to use you to reach others at home or abroad. Every skill, talent and natural ability can be used to serve God. The best part is that God qualifies the called and so we can step out in faith knowing He will equip us. In Feed my Lambs we have need for those who will step out in faith to serve God. The need for those who will pray first and foremost. Those who will evangelise children. Those who can distribute lessons. Those who can mark lessons. Those who can help develop new materials. Those who will train teachers. Those who will provide Bibles. Those who will bring us to their Churches to share of the work. There are so many needs today.... will you hesitate or "straightway" will you be willing to pray, to go, to give and to do what God is asking of you?? Last week we held the first of our newly established prayer meetings. These will continue every second month on the second Monday of the month. Future dates can be seen below and we would really encourage you to attend if you are able. Perhaps you live in another area, would you consider hosting a similar meeting? If so, contact us for more details.
Happy New Year!
As we begin 2018 we are really burdened to increase prayer for the work of Feed my Lambs. With this in mind you would be welcome to attend a newly established prayer meeting this coming Monday evening. While there will be time to pray on the night; the purpose of the meeting is to also encourage very specific prayer on an ongoing basis. The meeting will last for just one hour and will continue to be held every second month on the second Monday; 8th January, 12th March, 14th May etc. at 8pm in Brownstown Community Centre, Portadown, BT62 3QJ. Please do not be discouraged if you prefer not to pray audibly, we still appreciate your presence and support. There is much to thank God for, but there are also many needs to bring before Him. Thank you again for your ongoing interest. |
