This morning I have been reading in Matthew 21 the account of when Jesus sent two of his disciples to go into the village and bring an ass and a colt to Him. In verse 3 Jesus says, "And if any man say aught unto you, ye shall say, The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them."
The latter part of the verse caught my attention.... "The Lord hath need of them; and straightway he will send them." Today the Lord has need of you. Across the world there are many people who are still in sin and who need to hear the message of the cross and of forgiveness of sin. If you are saved, then God has a plan and a purpose for your life and He wants to use you to reach others at home or abroad. Every skill, talent and natural ability can be used to serve God. The best part is that God qualifies the called and so we can step out in faith knowing He will equip us. In Feed my Lambs we have need for those who will step out in faith to serve God. The need for those who will pray first and foremost. Those who will evangelise children. Those who can distribute lessons. Those who can mark lessons. Those who can help develop new materials. Those who will train teachers. Those who will provide Bibles. Those who will bring us to their Churches to share of the work. There are so many needs today.... will you hesitate or "straightway" will you be willing to pray, to go, to give and to do what God is asking of you??

Last week we held the first of our newly established prayer meetings. These will continue every second month on the second Monday of the month. Future dates can be seen below and we would really encourage you to attend if you are able. Perhaps you live in another area, would you consider hosting a similar meeting? If so, contact us for more details.
Happy New Year!
As we begin 2018 we are really burdened to increase prayer for the work of Feed my Lambs. With this in mind you would be welcome to attend a newly established prayer meeting this coming Monday evening. While there will be time to pray on the night; the purpose of the meeting is to also encourage very specific prayer on an ongoing basis. The meeting will last for just one hour and will continue to be held every second month on the second Monday; 8th January, 12th March, 14th May etc. at 8pm in Brownstown Community Centre, Portadown, BT62 3QJ. Please do not be discouraged if you prefer not to pray audibly, we still appreciate your presence and support. There is much to thank God for, but there are also many needs to bring before Him. Thank you again for your ongoing interest. |
