By now those of you on our mailing list should have received our latest prayer letter; either by post or email. If you are on our list and have not received this within the past week, please do contact us and we will resend to you. If you normally receive the prayer letter in Church or at some sort of meeting; please bear in mind that those who we communicate with may simply not have distributed them as yet. In this case, please give it some days before contacting us or perhaps you can ask them.
Maybe you are a regular visitor to the blog but you don't actually receive our prayer news directly. We would be delighted to send you our prayer news by email or post. Those who receive by email will also receive occasional updates in between main prayer letters. Please email us if you would like to be added to our mailing list. Our latest prayer letter included a number of photos. Below are just a few of them. If you would like to know the stories behind the pictures, then please contact us now so we can forward our prayer news.

Today we would ask you to pray for two specific needs.
Firstly we would ask you to pray for Joyce and her husband Pastor Augustus. Pastor's mother has passed away and burial will take place on Saturday. Please pray for this couple and their two young children and indeed for the entire family circle as they mourn the loss of a loved one. They have had a difficult year due to loosing family members and ongoing sickness. They really need our prayers. Secondly, we would ask you to pray for the situation in Kenya whereby many areas are being flooded due to heavy and widespread rain. We know of homes and schools which have been damaged. Pray for that finances will be available which will enable people to get things back to normal. As a result of the flood water mixing with sewage etc. there is now an outbreak of Cholera. Lives have been lost. This can be hard to contain especially in areas such as Kibera in Nairobi. Pray for this ongoing situation. Did you miss us last week? We hope you did. Sorry we weren't able to update the blog. We appreciate all who read it and keep up to date with just a tiny bit of the goings on in the work of Feed my Lambs. We value your prayers. After many hitches, I have at long last been able to forward our latest prayer letter to our printer and hopefully I will have 700 copies in my hand very soon. In addition to the printed copies, the prayer letter is sent to 178 people via email. As well as those 878 people, we have those who keep up to date with the work on facebook and here on the web easily bringing the total to 1000+ people. Now, here's a thought. Imagine if everyone of those people gave just £1.00 per month to the work. It wouldn't be missed but it would make an enormous difference in our ministry. More than that. If all those 1000 people actively pray for the work and even dedicated 1 day in the month to praying specifically for Feed my Lambs....then imagine the impact that would have amongst the boys and girls of Kenya, Uganda and farther a field. What will you do? We thank God that 182 Bible have arrived with Joyce in Uganda. We are so thankful for this. Pray for her as she distributes them and pray for the children who will receive them. We long for their salvation and we know that God will surely use His Word in their lives. Pray for Eunice in our Nairobi office. She is doing an amazing job as she carries out Pastor Aringo's duties as well as her own. She has had a lot to sort out with lessons and centres and although I'm on the other side of the world technology as been at it's best and we have been communicating daily. I have really enjoyed working alongside her and I have felt a part of the daily activity in Kenya. Pray on for her as she keeps things going.
Thank you once more for praying. Maybe you keep up to date here on the blog but you don't receive our prayer letter. Please let us know your email or postal address if you would like to be added to our mailing list. We will be happy to keep you informed. |
