Please continue to pray for Joyce and Eunice as they continue to labour for the Lord in Africa. Without them there would be no ministry. We are also grateful to others who partner with us in various ways to make sure the Gospel goes out to the boys and girls. Our team on the field are invaluable to the work. Pastors and Children's workers distribute and mark lessons and without them many children would not hear the Word of God and their need of a Saviour.
This week we have been working closely with a good friend in Nairobi who has been doing some printing for us. Design and colours is not something I find easy and I am very indecisive! William on the other hand can look at something and instantly know what layout and colour scheme will work. We thank God for the hard work of our friend who has printed Treasure Seeker Application forms and certificates and also a map showing the location of our Nairobi office and the best route to take to get there. This friend owns a cyber in Kawangware. We would definitely recommend his services. Please contact us for his details if you need printing or similar work completed in Kenya. If you are a children's worker in Kenya and are interested in training in Child Evangelism, you may be able to help us with more information regarding some plans we are making. In order to gain information about what people on the ground require in regards to training and to try and accommodate as many people as possible; we have put together an online survey to gauge interest and opinions. Please email us if you would like more information or to complete the survey. Currently, this is applicable to Kenyan residents only. Here in Northern Ireland, we have booked in another clothes collection for 30th November. If you have any shoes, clothes, bags, belts, bedding, curtains etc. which you no longer need or want, we would appreciate receiving these. They can be for adults or children; can be new or used; and will be reused in Africa. Please contact us for further details or to arrange a drop off or collection. We appreciate your support in these very practical ways. Most of all we appreciate your ongoing prayer support. Prayer IS the work.

We thank God for His continued help to Joyce and Eunice as they serve the Lord in Africa. Eunice has been distributing some Bibles which we give God thanks for. Joyce visited a school on Saturday and we Praise God for the encouraging time she had.
We have also appreciated your prayers over the weekend. On Friday evening we returned to share at a "Fold". We are usually here each year and thank God for those who join in the community room to learn more of God's work. This little group have been a real encouragement to us over the years and we thank God for them. We knew they were really concentrating and had a genuine interest in the ministry as we shared about our mission trip in July and also about some new opportunities. Saturday, Sunday and Monday we enjoyed representing Feed my Lambs with the stand at a missionary convention in Belfast. It was a real blessing to be able to share about the work and 9 new names were added to our mailing list which is particularly encouraging. We also had been asked to share with the Sunday School and Bible Class on Sunday afternoon. Over 40 children and young people gathered along with their teachers and we had a special time sharing about some of those we work amongst in Africa. They were sent on their way with worksheet and were encouraged to visit the Just for Kids section of our website. Please continue to pray on for those in Africa who are also seeking to reach out to the local children. Today and tomorrow I plan to mark some more assignments from children's workers who are taking our online child protection course and am thankful for another new student; a Sunday School teacher; who has just enrolled. Am hoping to set up his private study page here on our website today. This allows students to log in and complete their assignments. We thank God that technology; when used correctly; can really help to forward the work of God. Please continue to pray for us as we meet to finalise some decisions this evening regarding the implementation of new ministries. We also need wisdom in prioritising the needs and distribution of funds. Thank God for His goodness to us in these days. Pray on that He will continue to lead and guide. It is now one week since our 10th Anniversary Service. We are so thankful to God for His help. We really knew the Lord's presence with us before, during and after the meeting and we are humbled by how He blessed the meeting.
We thank God for those who came along and for those who faithfully pray for the work. We are encouraged and excited for the days ahead and look forward to issuing a prayer letter in the coming weeks with more news and updates. Please do pray on for Joyce, Eunice and other volunteers in Kenya and Uganda. William and I also appreciate your prayers for more meetings over the weekend and early part of the week. We were saddened this week to attend the funeral of someone who was a dear friend to William. A few months ago William had the privilege of spending a day with this servant of God...just the two of them. I remember how William came home full of joy having spent that day with him. They had talked much about the work of Feed my Lambs, about Churches, about the Bible and most importantly about the Lord. It was an encouraging day for William. He also was a faithful prayer partner of Feed my Lambs and someone who we know remembered us before the Lord and told others about the ministry. He has gone to his reward. The challenge is there for others to pray. We have commented again this week, how, almost every time we issue a prayer letter, another name has to be removed from the list because they have passed away. I wonder will you stand in the gap and continuing praying where others have left off? |
