We thank God for His blessings to us over another week. Our trip to Kenya is drawing closer and we thank Him for His leading and guiding. We are looking forward to ministering for the Lord among the boys and girls and also practically in the office. We are looking forward to returning to schools we have previously visited and also we will possibly visit some Bible Clubs. Some practical work in the office and also meetings with our workers to review the past and discuss the way ahead are on the agenda. Please pray much.
We also ask for your prayers for us as we travel. For safety throughout the journey. For good health with no sickness. For provision for all of our needs while we are there. If you would like to donate to the trip, you can do so via the home page of this site or contact us to find out other ways to donate. There are many needs in addition to the normal running of the work, there will be the office work, donations, accommodation, car hire etc. We need the Lord's provision in so many areas but we step out in faith knowing that the Lord will continue to provide for us as He has done in the past. Pray that we will know the Lord's help in these final days of preparation. We thank God for those who will stay in our home while we are gone and we thank Him that our times are in His hands.

Today, William and I (Pamela) are married for one month. Time has just flown. It has been a special few weeks for us as we have settled into married life. It is lovely to have someone to read and pray with every day; someone to discuss things with; someone to share the decisions with. Yet we are both so conscious that there is a third person in our marriage....the Lord. He is our Head and the one whom we depend upon. The one who guides, leads and provides. We are thankful for how the Lord brought us both together and has kept us over the years since we first met. We are excited that God has called us both into His service and we look forward with great anticipation to our future in the work of The Lord. We are very aware that we have a great responsibility in leading the work and so we very much need your prayers for us in the coming days. There are many decisions to be made. Sometimes it is difficult to know the right way to handle things or the right thing to do but we know that God will guide if we seek Him. Thank you for your prayers for us in days past....continue to remember us in the days to come.
Thank you for your prayers for us over the past week as we had the FML stand at the Missionary Convention. After discussions with other missionaries who also had stands there, it was fair to say that many of us reached the conclusion that generally the interest in the stands was much less this year in comparison to other years. For whatever reason, there were fewer stands and also fewer people coming in to view them after the meetings. Based on this and previous years we are considering whether or not to return next year or whether to take a break for a year and then return. Please pray that we will know guidance over the coming year.
We thank God for another booking for a meeting for next year, but still we have gaps and are available for the incoming winter season. We are encouraged that we have bookings for a number of new venues where we have never been, but we still would like more opportunities. Please pray to this end. September is now upon us. Again a month of mixed emotions for us. We are looking forward to what the month hold for FML, but we are conscious that September last year was when dad (Cecil) was diagnosed with cancer and passed away very soon afterwards. It has been a long year in one sense, yet it has flown by in another sense. Please pray for us as a family over the next few weeks as we approach the 1st anniversary. Praise God He is with the Lord. We have a few deadlines to meet over the next few weeks with regard to FML projects which we need to complete. Please pray that the Lord will enable us and again will guide and give wisdom. Thank you once more for your continued prayers for us. |
