ABOUT ABUNDANT GRACE INT’L CHURCH

Abundant Grace Int’l church is a registered organization under section 10 of the societies Act of the Nation of Kenya. It was registered in the year 2003 and gazetted to run churches, schools and projects that can be beneficial to the society.

The abundant Grace Int’l Church affirms that confession of convictions in common with the creeds of the early church, the confessions of the reformation and all conservative evangelical Christians, which is consistent with the teachings of the bible.

The A.G.I.C has six (6) branches:-

Bishop Ezekiel Maina Mwangi is the founder of A.G.I.C and also the senior pastor of its Headquarter church in Nairobi regions. Rev. Michael Mwashimba Mwakio is the general Secretary of A.G.I.C and also the senior pastor of A.G.I.C racecourse branch in Nairobi west region.

ABOUT MICHAEL MWASHIMBA MWAKIO

He was born in 1974. He gave his life to Christ in 1988 when still in Sunday school (young teen). He joined bible school in 1995-1996 for certificate in theology IN 1996 God called him into a fulltime ministry, just to confirm the prophecy upon him when he was below 5 years. This time God spoke vividly through the word of knowledge that “Michael, if you love me feed my lambs.”

In 1997-1999 Michael attained a diploma in theology where after he went as a missionary and pastor in another region/sect far from his place of birth to serve God there. After the church was established, God directed him to move to Nairobi City where he later met Bishop Ezekiel Maina, just when the A.G.I.C was registered and decided to serve God together. Janeroser Married Michael in 2004 and God blessed them with one child Mary in 2012.

ABOUT A.G.I.C RACECOURSE BRANCH

Michael Mwashimba is the senior pastor of abundance Grace Int’l Church Racecourse branch. God directed him to plant it in the year 2008, located about 7kms away from Nairobi city.

Our vision: To impact both today and tomorrow’s world through the gospel

Our mission: To build People of all ages (youngest- oldest) with God’s word to impact both today and tomorrow’s world. (This and the next generations)

Our motto: Arise and shine for the savior.

Core values: A.G.I.C is guided by a number of core values. These are: - Integrity, love peace, unity, holiness, excellence, diligence, transparency, reliability and creativity.

A.G.I.C racecourse branch began with four adults and two children (Michael, his wife and a certain lady with her two children and a young single lady.

To attain the church mission and vision our church majored in the three areas:-

First, to attain the vision the church often re-aligned its pastoral and administrative structures so as to become relevant in a changing context of mission. We have three pastors and five strong elders also the leaders of different departments to oversee our move. This also shows that as leaders we have to sacrifice our time for: praying together, leaders meetings, mid week fellowships /cell groups and evangelisms.

Secondly by preaching a holistic gospel man consists of body Saul and the spirit. The body needs food and shelter, the Soul needs education /knowledge and the spirit needs the word of God. We portray God’s word in actions. Mother Teresa of Calcutta insisted that “I was not a social worker but a person who loved God by loving people.”

Hans Nielsen Haugen of Norway insisted that “my calling is to love God and my neighbors”.

Last, to attain church vision, the A G I C is investing in the children’s ministry.

We need to prepare the next generation by with God’s help and guidance undertake to Christ as Lord and savior. Children are not small adults neither are they grown up toddlers. The definition of children remains the same worldwide. Viable and sound Christian morals are supposed to be injected to children early enough to save them from current moral decay .The event in the society dictates that the society is decaying every minute getting worse today than Yesterday. So the only hope for good and better children upbringing remains the church.

Due to this the AGIC recourse has a systematic curriculum for teaching children from the feed my lambs ministry.

We knew F.M.L in the year 2010 when our church was in a great need of Sunday school teachers training and curriculum /materials for teaching children .We are among the many churches globally who benefited from FML. They trained us, gave us the materials and cds and our children received Bibles (King James version and playing materials.  After completing the lessons our Sunday school multiplied.

    PRAYER REQUESTS

Since our church school is increasing .we pray that we may get other rooms so that we may divide their classes according to their age’s .Currently, we mix them because of lack of facilities even though we have enough teachers.

We are trusting God to purchase church land so that we avoid some of the challenges we are undergoing today.eg pastor’s office, Sunday school rooms, and washrooms.

Pray that God may open a way for our kid’s parents so that they pay school fees, since most of them are jobless or street workers within the slums of Nairobi. Earning a maximum of a dollar per day if fortunate.

  ANNOUNCEMENTS.

In July second Sunday (12th /07) our church will be having a fundraising to purchase a public address system to reach more people with the gospel.
Please friends we need your prayers and any support.

May the Lord bless you all.
